I was the first person to wake up then i took a look at my presents and called my brothers so they could look at theirs, my 2nd oldest brother got a Scrabble board game and some clothes for his birthday, and my youngest brother got Lego Star Wars and some more clothes. For the most part, Christmas was really fun but things couldve been better because the day was kind of dull but i would rate my Christmas an 8/10.

The Death Of Tupac Shakur

Tupac Shakur a.k.a Makaveli was a very popular rapper, and some say he wasn’t a rapper, but a poet. Because of his carefree life and independent attitude, he made many friends, but even more enemies. He was born in New York in 1971, which is the East coast of America. On 1984, he moved again to Baltimore Maryland where he attended Baltimore School for the Performing Arts, and he also made good friends with Jada Pinkett Smith. Four years later he moved yet again to Oakland California which is on the West coast of America.
In 1991, he gained recognition for an album called “2pacalypse Now” after joining a group named Digital Underground. That album was a success, and soon after he starred in the motion picture "Juice." Tupac eventually released another album called "Strictly for my Niggaz" and that too was a successful album. He was arrested for many crimes and some have been dropped. Some of these crimes include assault, shooting at the police, and sexual assault. He was being tried for the sexual assault charge and just a day before he was to be found guilty he was shot 5 times in a recording studio. It was considered an armed robbery, because he was robbed that day, but he blamed The Notorious B.I.G and Sean "Puffy" Combs claiming that they set him up.
This accusation ruined his relationship with B.I.G, and started a rivalry. This rivalry was not only between the two but instead the regions in which they resided, and so the East coast West coast fueds began. Tupac on the west and Biggie on the east. As he faced his time in prison for the sexual assault charges he let out an album "Me Against the World" which stayed at the top of the charts for 4 weeks straight. He was bailed by Suge Knight 8 months later. Suge paid 1 million dollars and as compensation Tupac sighned with Death Row releasing yet another album "All eyes in Me" He became a very valuable asset to Death Row, and starred in two more movies "Gridlock" and "Bullet". These would be the last films he would ever make.
images (1).jpgThe East Coast vs. West Coast War was between the Blood and Crip gang. TuPac was a part of the Blood side which was West Coast. His ex close friend Notorious BIG was a part of the East Coast side which is Crip. The biggest theory of Pac’s death is a paid job of a Crip to shoot TuPac in the car while with Surge Knight (the exectutive producer of Death Row Records). Before the final autopsy it was revealed that there were only 3 bullets found, but after the final autopsy there was a bullet found in his right thigh the bullet in close to his heart was not removed until the final autopsy. The gang wars included a lot of violence using words, guns, fighting, and dirty looks.
Tupac Shakur was very strong and successful. He wrote songs about his death and how he imagined how he was going to die. In one of his songs he talked about his own funeral. In another song named “Not Mad at Ya” he was talking about how he isn’t mad at Biggie for basically paying to shoot him.  Yet, people have many theories about Tupac and how he isn’t dead. Some people say that he faked his own death. Also, that some people believe that he is still alive because the white Cadillac containing the assailants was never found.
Basically the theory of Biggie Smalls hiring Crips to kill Tupac is most likely truth because he paid $1 million for killing Tupac Shakur. There was much envy between Tupac and Biggie, but before anything they were really close friends until they joined different gangs and began insulting each other. Six months later, Biggie Smalls died the same way. It is theorized that Biggie Smalls was connected to the plot that was responsible for Tupac Shakur's death.

Advisory Exam/Project Interview

0

Its easy to go someplace, but its harder to come back home. That’s what my interviewee Jon Self said as I asked him how hard was it for him to leave is home town, his friends and his family. Jon Self is 24 years old and he is my tutor that teaches me in a Community Club in Downtown Washington D.C. Ive known Jon for 2 years now and he is a really interesting person as he has something new to tell me everyday. Jon was born in a small town in Texas. Some people say that if you were born in a small town, you know everyone because you’ve went to the same Elementary School together, the same Middle School together, the same High School together and the same College, this was the situation for Jon. In Jon’s town you were either White or you were Black, so there wasn’t really any diversity in Jon’s town. Its almost like living in a bubble, Jon saw the world as a small place because he has really never went to anywhere else in the world.
In Jon’s second year of High School his school they had a scholarship for a student to go to Fukuoka, Japan. Jon applied for the scholarship because when he was really little he always read maps and he always wondered what it would be like in Japan. So of course Jon took up the opportunity to go to the place he always wanted to as a kid. Jon got the scholarship and when he broke the news to his parents, they weren’t all that happy. Jon wasn’t comfortable with leaving his family either but he wanted to go explore the world and not just live in Texas for all of his life. When Jon left for Japan, he brought two of his friends that were exchange students that spent a high school year in Texas.  When Jon got to Japan he was in awe because he would have never imagined the world to be so big. Jon saw people that are in the same religion, a different race than him and he also say people who ate different food than him. So it was real hard for Jon to adapt to all of these things because he was taught differently.
Jon went to Japan to study Japanese culture, history, politics, intercultural communication and Japanese stage performances.  For Jon being in Japan it was like being a child again because he had to be taught how to read Japanese, write Japanese, what to eat, etc. The toughest thing that Jon had to deal with in Japan was the food. Jon hated Sushi and he could not deal with eating raw fish. There were also foods that he had to eat that were really salty like Onigiri (a riceball). Some Onigiri had a pickle in the middle that was really salty and he had to eat that a lot so he adapted to eating salty food. Japanese people eat a lot of fish which is really healthy for them and it speeds up intellectual growth because fish has fatty acids also fish makes your eyesight better.. Even though an Asian diet has a lot of good things about it, it can be really bad for you. An Asian diet has a lot of salt in it and if your eat by an Asian diet, by the time you get older you might develop stomach cancer.
When Jon had come back he was a complete different person because he displayed characters that he did in Japan and he didn’t do what he usually did when he was at home. I couldn’t even imagine how hard it was for Jon to be coming from a small town in Texas to a big city in Japan. He finally overcame his struggle that was coming out of his shell and going to a place out of his comfort zone.

What i did to go Green

0
What i did to go green over the weekend was to go jogging with my parents to the field on coolidge instead of driving a car to not put gasess into the air. Also I watched less TV and i played board games with my parents. It was fun and it saved energy instead of watching TV and wasting power by watching TV.
